Accumulations - Cost to Wait
The Cost to Wait tab illustrates the impact of waiting before starting (or increasing contributions, whichever the case may be) to the qualified plan.
While the initial decision may be whether to start now or in a few months, the cost of the decision should be viewed as how much the retirement account is reduced by delaying contributions.
The deposits made this next year will accumulate interest over the longest period of time; and therefore, waiting has the greatest impact on the account value.

| For Example: | In the example above, waiting one year before increasing their qualified plan contributions will result in a $26,761 reduction to the account value. |
